Wonderfully friendly & knowledgeable bird walk

Our 2nd early morning walk with Steve and we were not disappointed, saw and photographed birds that we had never heard off before. Steve is so very knowledgeable and it is great to have the wonderful bird songs identified as well as being able to practice our photography.

Brilliant for bird and nature lovers!

Steve is so knowledgeable and really builds the walk around your interests - I saw a couple of species that I can hear in the my garden but had never been able to spot. We were also lucky enough to see birds of prey too and walk through private, peaceful woodland full of bluebells.

Amazing Kingfisher Experience!

Steve made a truly excellent guide for the early morning Kingfisher photography walk I went on. His knowledge was excellent, a great communicator and a load of fun as well. I will be booking many more trips with him based on this.

Brilliant morning walk with the birds

Just completed a socially distanced woodland walk. I was late....not a great start but it didn't phase Steve, and in fact we walked and talked and watched for a great morning and far more than had been booked. 37 birds - including a long stint with a kingfisher and several other firsts. Superb.

What a wonderful way to spend the morning before a day's work.

Steve is so knowledgeable about all the wildlife, birds and surroundings as we stoll along the river. I carefully timed the date of my walk following expert advice from Steve when he knew Mr Kingfisher would be busy up and down the banks feeding his new family. And he did not disappoint! (Mr Kingfisher AND Steve) We were treated to quite the display. So beautiful. One word of warning though - you can be deep in conversation with Steve, quizzing him about red kites or ducklings & chatting about huge pike in the Thames...THEN he'll be distracted because he hears the kingfisher incoming - about half a mile away!! He doesn't miss a thing! You know Steve enjoys taking small groups out along the river & local environments - this is his absolute passion. I went along on my own but you soon start chatting to others in the group. A joyous, relaxing way to spend a morning, 5 stars, book now!

Fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable with amazing wildlife

I have today enjoyed my 2nd walk with Steve. On both occasions I have been so impressed with his knowledge of all things wildlife, and the local area, and his friendly, easy manner. He has excellent communication beforehand as well so you know you can relax and just enjoy the experience. His knowledge is such that I have always seen what I was hoping to / expecting to see, as well as much more. On both occasions I have learnt so much that I have been able to come home to my area and discover the wildlife around me that he has taught me about - it is a great feeling to find it yourself after his expert tips!
If you enjoy wildlife then these walks are a must. As an added bonus, if you are interested in photography then Steve will undoubtedly be able to help you improve this too!

Wonderful Experience Highly Recommended

We had such a wonderful time on our walk. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Steve is a really lovely guy, and his knowledge of birds and wildlife in general is incredible. He knew exactly where to find each bird and on a personal note went above and beyond to make sure we were able to see our first ever Kingfisher. We did the private walk with just 2 of us and Steve, it truly did feel very special indeed. Thank you so much for a perfect memory.

Who needs Kingfishers?!

What a wonderful morning spent on the banks of the Thames in Goring. Hunting high & lo for kingfishers to no avail - the first time this has ever happened to Steve! But we didn’t mind.

We had so much fun and so much other wildlife around to occupy us. Steve took us to the exact spot he knew we’d spy a Goldcrest and a Firecrest! Just beautiful. We also saw a nuthatch, a common sandpiper, herons plus lots of swifts, House Martins and even a mamma-to-be red kite high up in her nest.
Steve is so knowledgeable about the local area & all the wildlife around, identifying birds and birdsong along the way. Steve is v easy to chat to and answered all my questions throughout the morning!
A wonderful way to spend a sunny morning along the river. Please book a guided walk, you won’t regret it.
