Who Are We

Our passion is Wildlife, to introduce people to the wonders of it and benefits it can bring together with the understanding and conservation of habitats so that our wildlife continue to thrive.

Our founder and MD Steven Gozdz has always had a keen interest in Wildlife from a very young age, growing up in Surrey surrounded by local wildlife and breeding cage & aviary birds for many years.

Most of his working life has been in the hospitality and construction project management sectors, but has always maintained a connection with wildlife, especially birds. Together also with a passion for photography he shared his photographs and knowledge mainly with friends and family.

With the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 Pandemic, like many others he found himself out of work only a few months after his partner and he moved to the Chilterns to be closer to nature.

During the initial Lockdown he took this time to explore thoroughly the surrounding countryside, taking many photos of all he observed and shared them via on social media. There was such an appreciation of his photographs and knowledge he received many requests to come out with him post lockdown a number of local people joined him on his local "Wildlife Walks"

Everyone loved then so much and wanted to go out again and learn more about the amazing wildlife that can be found on their doorstep. As a result Goring Gap Wildlife Walks was born. Since then we have expanded outside of the Goring Gap* and do much more than just walks and because of this felt it more appropriate that we change our name to GG Wildlife Experiences.

Steve's walks, experiences and photographs have been featured on BBC radio (in various counties), BBC Oxford online, the Guardian, Henley Standard and many local publications, Charities and Wildlife Groups.

He also judges and sponsors a number of local wildlife photography competitions including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT).

The 5* reviews he receives are a testament to his love for nature and his passion to share his knowledge and beauty of our amazing wildlife.
